Fleureau
Open-plan offices have been around for a while. The well-being of employees working there, however, has decreased due to stress, noise levels, and a lack of productivity. To create awareness of these distractions, we developed an actuated origami-like plant that opens as employees improve their environment.
Besides these distractions, the plant also measures collaboration and a feeling of community between colleagues, which is done by a community point system. Once enough community points have been collected, the plant briefly blooms before the points are reset again.
Fleureau’s plant shape adapts to its surroundings throughout the entire day before resetting in the morning and focuses on positive improvements instead of negatives. Besides the live feedback, the collected data is stored to be compared to other days inside an app on employees’ computers.
