WUMA
Water Usage Measuring Apparatus
Wuma is a wrist worn water usage monitoring device designed to combat the overuse of freshwater. The base is a strap which connects to monitors on taps in houses and workplaces, and changes colour to subtly inform the user how far they are through their daily allowance. If the wastage continues, a hand apparatus is installed which limits hand movement as the user goes over their allowance. The design is sleek and minimal so when water is used efficiently, daily life is not affected. With changes to infrastructure, restaurants and bars will start including water usage on bills connected to the device, ensuring holistic and personal tracking.
